Michael Hodgson is a Royal Engineer,he has selflessly served his country in the most desolate and inhospitable areas of the planet to secure our safety.Sadly,in 2015 he was struck down with a cancerous tumour in the brain.As would be expected of a man of his calibre,he fought back and got the all clear in 2016 after a long and arduous term of therapy which left him a shell of his former self.He rebuilt his life,found the woman of his dreams and was looking to the future.As a cruel twist of fate,as the year crossed into 2017,Michael was told that the cancer had resurfaced and had spread to his spine,lungs and varying other areas of his once strong body.Thinking ahead to what was next he asked the tough questions,the reply rocked us all to the core.Michael was given the prognosis that he had a very aggressive form of cancer and at best 12 months left with us.This left his family,partner and friends reeling.To not see Michael again is something that doesn't seem to register.He is the kindest,funniest and charmingly innocent man you could ever have the privelidge to call a friend.At just 29 years old,a healthy fit and upstanding man is coming to terms with the fact that he will be leaving a gaping hole in the lives of those who know him.I am looking to raise money in order to let him get away with his partner and see the world through relaxed and happy eyes,as opposed to the way he has endured it in the past.I want him to be able to take the holiday of a lifetime before he becomes too ill to leave his bed.Please,whatever you can help with.Please help me to help my friend,so he knows just how much he meant to so many before it's too late.
