Cycled to Mont St Michel today then up into the hills. Going well with folks in good heart. We have had some breakdowns and rainy weather, but have pushed through. Last day tomorrow doing 65 miles to Le Mans. Visited war memorial near Caen, we were all touched by the young lives lost.

All packed and ready to roll. I cycled through a thunderstorm to Watford this morning for a training course – Flooding, Pouring Rain, Lightening! Took me all day to dry out. I am pleased the weather looks better for tomorrow, when we will be cycling 88miles. Thank you to Achanda for all her support and patience helping me prepare for the ride. Only 5 days to go before we leave. Some last minute tinkering with the bikes to get them running smoothly . We will be leaving North London on Saturday, 8am and heading to Portsmouth for the overnight ferry. There are 12 of us cycling and 2 people driving the support van – they will be looking after us and keeping us fed. We really appreciate the encouraging help they provide whatever obstacles we face.
