My five year old Alaskan malamute nanook is diabetic and has been being treat at pdsa as my wife is disabled and I'm her carer for which we recieve benefits but he has been hard to stabilise And had a scan at pdsa to see if there was an underlying reason why his insulin was inaffective and they found something on his pancreas but there scanner isn't very good and they couldnt determine what it actually was . We were told that they weren't going to continue treatment for him and we either had to take him to another vet with first class scanners , see how he goes without treatment or have him put to sleep The last two options are not options I would even consider but I need the £600 pound to at least give him a chance I've found a vet willing to treat him but there estimate is £600- £1000 to diagnose and treat him . My dog is my best mate as you can imagine being a carer i don't have much social life so nanook and walking him gives me a couple of much needed breaks per day and I love this dog like a child . Please please any help would be greatly appreciated thank you .
