Stewart joined Westbrook Hay in 1990 and has dedicated his life to the school for 31 Years. He was appointed Deputy Head relatively soon after his arrival and has made a huge impact on our community and our lives in so many ways. He has been the consummate professional in every way, caring for every child and always wanting and expecting the best from them. He has taught quite a range of subjects over the years but will be most remembered for bringing History to life, producing the most wonderful of school plays and singlehandedly transforming the levels of pastoral care at Westbrook Hay. His tremendous eye for detail meant that he has been invaluable to the leadership of the school and his support for Mark Brain has enabled the school to move seamlessly into a new era. He has worked tirelessly, often late into the night, at weekends and during the school holidays all for the good of the school and its pupils.

The arrival of Nicky on the scene led to the introduction of LAMDA and the opportunity for so many children to be empowered with confidence, creativity and the ability to communicate better. Nicky has worked hard to establish LAMDA as the most popular activity offered within school and her LAMDA assemblies and shows have highlighted just how beneficial LAMDA has been to each and every child.

There is no doubt that Stewart and Nicky will be sorely missed and we wish them our very best as they embark on their new life in Lincolnshire. We very much hope that they will come back as our guests for future former pupils events.

We know many of you have asked if you can contribute to a leaving present and we felt crowdfunding was the best way to give you this opportunity during the COVID restrictions. Hopefully we can raise an amount which will allow them to buy something special for their new home in Lincolnshire. In keeping with Stewart's modest approach, we have listed our target as £10 but clearly welcome and hope for as little or as much as you feel you would like to donate.
