Our local Sixth Form - Saint Paul's Catholic School in Leicester, take a group of 22 students to Ghana every other year. The purpose of this years trip (to Kumasi and Obuasi) is to help contribute to the improving of educational and sanitary facilities for those in need. 

The aims of our trip include; financing a toilet block for 'St Luke's Catholic Primary School' in Kumasi and also for 'Bishop Sarpong Catholic Primary School' in Offinso; funding facilities at 'Christ the Teacher College of Education' and to ultimately continue to long term link between our school and those in Ghana. 

Since the tradition began for students at Saint Paul's to visit Ghana, over £150,000 has been raised, with our most recent 2016 team raising £55,000 which helped build a borehole and improve facilities at schools in Ghana. 

As individuals, we are each required to raise £1500, which will fund travel, accommodation, food during our stay, but ultimately, give a great sum to helping the cause in Ghana.

After giving it great thought about how we will raise the said amount, myself and another member of the team - Joe Smyth will be cycling from the King Power Stadium to Wembley Stadium in London, 110 miles away!! Hopefully we will be able to complete this over 1 or 2 days.

Any sponsors for our challenge or any donations for our cause would be massively appreciated, not just by us, but by a great proportion of young children and adults in Ghana who have nowhere near the amount of opportunities that we do here in this country.
