STRANGER AND STRANGER

A Short Film by Paul Benmore and Mark Benmore

We are looking for £2000 funding in order to film our first budgeted short film. We have been making low-to-no budget short films for over 2 years now, producing great short films such as Chances, In Retrospect, Fugly, The Truth, Justice and The Breakdown (screened on BBC's The Fear) with some of the best London filmmakers the capital has to offer. We now feel that it's the right time to make something even more spectacular.

THE IDEA?

Living alone in a small part of town Richard, A widowed but passionate horologist who works from home, locally known for his commitment and knowledge of clocks is working on a watch he cannot seem to fix. A dust covered, oversized home shows clear signs of neglect and appears frozen in a forgotten past. Tired and Submerged in a trance like state, Richards concentration turns to frustration as his quiet home is disturbed by a suspicious sound coming from inside the house. Worried that someone is inside, Richard investigates but with each step, discovers more sounds seeming to be from all around the house, sending him on a paranoid chase for answers before becoming face to face with his enemy. Acting spontaneous he kills the intruder with a tool he uses to fix his clocks. Turning the victims body around only to find himself staring back. In a state shock, he realises death is inevitable as a shadowy figure of himself steps behind him....

WHAT WILL I GET FOR DONATING

All donators will receive a credit on the finished film and an invitation to join us at the premiere held at the London Short Film Presents...event in Soho. As well as a finished digital copy of the short film which we are hoping to get submitted into major international film festivals.
