In october 2017 my 14 year old brother Jack Singleton had a cold and went to the doctors to be advised to get his bloods done. He wouldnt get this done as he was terrified of needles. 5 days later he had a rash on his feet and was still felling unwell So he braved the needles and had his bloods taken. A few hours later his parents received a call from the doctor to take Jack to Childrens ward at Royal Preston Hospital to do some tests. Within 5 hours of being there Kack was took to Ward 84 Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital were on arrival my parents was told that Jack had Luekemia and that he would need to have 3 years of treatment to help try and cure him. Jack spent most of the 1st 4 months of treatment on Ward 84 were the staff have been absoulutly amazing i. Supporting him and treating him to help him not only trying to get better but making him as happy as ilhe can be whilst being in there. Jack is now home and goes into ward 84 3 times a week for his Chemo. He has been off scholl since october and will hopefully be well enough to return in spetmeber depening on how the next few months go. This has been a total life change for Jack and my Family and as been totally eye opening to how lucky you are to live an healthy lIfe. I have decided to take part in another White Collar Boxing Event Charity fight to raise money for Ward 84 Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. But this time i have 3 other amazing lads taking part as well to help me raise my target of £1000. These lads had a choice of their own of who they wanted to raise money for but these are proper mates who have decided to do it for my Brother.
