Hi all, you may not be aware but back in 1991 my cousin Darren whilst serving in the army in Ireland lost both his legs from the knee down when a grenade was thrown over the wall of the barracks he was based at, he also received multiple injuries including loss of fingers and was also hit by flying shrapnel!
People that know him will no that this has not stopped him from living his life to the full, he will tell you he probably does things now that he would never have done including parachute jumps and snow boarding but to name a few!
Darren is in the process of training to enter the 2018 Paralympic winter games in South Korea but to achieve this he needs to raise £12000 for training, equipment and preparation.
I myself have managed to secure a place in this years London marathon where I am hoping to raise as much money as I can to help Darren achieve his goal of making the Paralympics!
Darren is an inspiration to us all and and any donations however big or small would be very much appreciated!
