Story
Beautiful Max lived in a rescue centre for 3 years waiting for a home til we met. I was devastated to be told he had a cancerous tumour in February but was determined to help him. I have been so grateful for the support and donations from friends, which enabled him to have his cell mast tumour removed so quickly miles from home. Max is eating well, not limping, smiling, acting so fit and well, so deserves this chance in the life and home and for the adventures he loves so much; he has such a true love of life and enthusiasm and appreciation of and every day. As I was warned when his tumour was removed, a lump has started on his hock again so he has been given antibiotics in case it is an infection, but they fear it is the tumour starting to grow again from the ligament area; therefore radiotherapy is so important.
Max’s palladia tablets had been keeping it at bay in preparation for his radiotherapy. He is now on Masivet. However, due to his leg hock developing a pressure sore open wound, he was not able to start this. Some dogs are cured by the radiotherapy. Max’s is an aggressive tumour but many dogs respond well and live a year or more after the radiotherapy - in some cases 3 years. Max wasn’t allowed to play too much as he loves - because the leg hock wound needs rest and not damaging as the scab coming off means the process of open wound healing has to start all over again. THE SCAB HAS NOW HEALED SO RADIOTHERAPY begunxx
The exact cost for his radiotherapy is £2100. We have some insurance money still left - to pay over half of this but more medication will be dispensed at 225 a time and charged for before then so I am aiming to try and raise £1000 or more through Go Fund Me, donations, friend and family support, my income and a loan.
I would be so grateful for any help you can give. I promise to support you and your own dogs and fundraising in the future

Max had been living in rescue centres for three years before he came to live with me; he has done so well and settled down admirably with my other dog, despite his fears of others dogs. He is such a happy boy and adores fuss from everyone.
