Story
Sue and Doris, London Jesus Centre, are attempting the Hostile environment challenge on Saturday 4th November.
For us it means plunging into the very cold water of the Ladies' Pond at Hampstead Heath. It is unheated all year round, and drops to temperatures of below 12 in the colder seasons.
Many of our asylum seeking friends have no choice about the hostile environment challenge... It is a deliberate policy by the Home Office, following the Immigration Bill 2013, which, applied incorrectly, makes asylum seekers living conditions as inhospitable as possible to force them to consider returning home.
Please support us as we take the plunge, and give our asylum seekers a better Christmas.
