On 8th of January 2013 20-years old Michal got hit by a driver under influence of drugs, as he tried to cross the road. After 3 months in a comma and numerous injuries, including: trauma of internal organs; intracranial (brain) injury; brain oedema and swelling; bruising of brain core, temples, forehead and occiput; broken vertebra spinous process and cracked vertebra; bruising of lungs; broken ribs; broken thighs and knees; and open wounds.

His family was told he will never speak and walk again. His family refused to give up. 5 years later (today) Michal has made enormous progress and can walk small distances without help and speaks basic sentences. To continue the treatment and rehabilitation, Michal’s family needs to raise a significant amount of money (£14k) by the end of next month.
