Story
This page has been set up for Helen and her family while she receives treatment for Stage 4 breast cancer. Hopefully, with your support, we can go some way in helping to reduce her anxiety and financial stress, and allow her to focus on the treatment and her family...
Helen’s Story:
In August 2017, Helen discovered a lump in her breast while shopping for swimsuits ahead of a much needed family holiday to Italy. During the next few weeks, she endured a marathon of biopsies, tests and scans before receiving the devastating news that she did indeed have Stage 4 Breast Cancer. In addition, she was told the breast cancer had spread to her bones - pelvis, hips, sternum, base of her spine and 9th rib. She was suddenly faced with the reality that this cancer was incurable.
Helen is currently receiving treatment as part of the PARSIFAL trial at St Bart’s Hospital in London and is under the care of a fabulous oncologist and team of nurses. Whilst many changes have been forced upon her and her family, Helen has chosen to follow an exclusively organic vegan diet with supplements in order to support her body as she undergoes this vital medical treatment.
Helen and her husband Finch work together running their own small business so the luxury of sick leave, compassionate leave and financial support simply don’t exist for them. Helen now has to juggle regular oncologist appointments, blood tests and scans alongside a busy work schedule and care for their two young children.
With your help, we hope to help and support Helen and her family wherever possible. This could be to help pay for staffing to help keep the business running while Helen rests or attends her numerous hospital appointments. Or perhaps help fund short getaways for the family to relax and escape the stresses of their current situation...... Or maybe even help with the truck load of organic fruit and veg that she’s blitzing, shredding and munching her way through each week!
Please help us in any way you can, whether a donation, sponsored event or fundraiser. We love you Helen, and we are with you every step of the way. Always.

6 years agoTHANK YOU!!!! I wanted to pass on Helen's thanks to everyone that has so kindly and generously donated, especially those that she's unable to thank personally as their donations were anonymous or they are strangers. She is beyond grateful and completely overwhelmed by the support and generosity - so thank you. She has already invested in some much needed supplements and vitamins that she had run out of and is focussing on living as naturally and chemical free as possible. I know I've said it but THANK YOU!
