Sussex EcoFest is an all-inclusive, all-ages event held on Saturday 13 May 2017 at The Open Market, Brighton. The aim of the event is to promote sustainability awareness in Sussex. As this event is ticket free, it will give the public an opportunity to wander around and peruse each stall at their own leisure.

At this present moment, The Open Market has numerous permanent stalls. Sussex EcoFest will provide the opportunity for further sustainably-minded companies and organisations to occupy a stall for the duration of the event.

Multiple raffles will take place throughout the event, with all prizes kindly donated by local organisations. All proceeds shall be invested back into the community through donations to three local charities: Cranks DIY Bike Workshop, Sussex Wildlife Trust and Brighton Peace and Environment Centre. These local charities will benefit from any donation received, no matter how small. If you would like to donate to one or two of the chosen charities in particular, please state this within the comment section before submitting the donation!

Considering we are students, we will not receive any form of remuneration for this event as all work completed will be voluntary. Therefore, the money donated will contribute to covering the cost of the event and the rest will be passed on to the relevant charities.
