Only a handful of close friends know the struggle I have had in the last 18 months and have supported me when I haven’t been myself and been at some really low points as I have been fighting post-natal depression and anxiety. The daily feeling of been lonely, worthless and useless and a failure to my family, I am now at a point I can say the panic attacks are nearly non-existent and I can leaving the house is less scary, the good days definitely outweigh the bad.
This is largely thanks to a charity called House of Light that counsel individuals with PND and anxiety. They have helped me feel like a person again and that I am not a failure to my children and its ok to cry sometimes. The one thing that hasn’t changed is my dislike to exercise so I have set myself a challenge.
On Saturday I am doing a 5k inflatable obstacle course and aim to raise money for House of Light Counselling service as they do an amazing job. Please support me in my quest and any small donations would be really really appreciated.
