I'm known for liking a drink or 3. But have decided to do dry January and try and raise some money for Manchester children hospital. My Friend Paige and her family were given the devastating news in October that their 2 year old daughter has Leukaemia. A parent's worst nightmare and something you never think will happen to you or anyone you know.
Due to the fast actions of Paige, the doctors and nurses and the staff currently looking after Milan the prognosis is good. However Milan is still battling hard and has endured an incredible amout of treatment, lengthy stays in hospital and had to spend Christmas in hospital. She is only 2 but has shown incredible resilience and spirit. So while doing dry january I would like to help raise some money for the hospital who are looking after Milan, and both her parents. They have shown support. Kindness and arranged for the family to have a weekend away and attend a special ball which was a much needed break. The work the hospital continue to do with all the very poorly children during the worst times of their lives is incredible.
