'Swim for Edie' will take place on Saturday 21st March 2020. Everyone Active, Wickford, have kindly given us their swimming pool to use at no cost to help us raise as much money as possible. We are a small group of family and friends, adults and children of all ages, who will join forces and swim 3 miles (a mile per team) to help raise more funds for Edie!

Edie Jackson, a beautiful, brave 6 year old from Waltham Abbey needs your help!

On 27th November 2019 life changed forever as the family received the news that Edie has an aggressive brain tumour called DIPG. Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma affects as few as 20 to 30 children every year in the UK, meaning awareness and fundraising are worryingly and frustratingly low!

But, while the Jacksons will face many physical, emotional and financial challenges, the family, their friends and the amazing community around them are ready to fight!

All money raised will go directly to the Jackson family and the care of Edie. This will help to cover any additional medical visits and treatment, physical therapy and possible clinical trial costs which is something the family are already planning.

We are aiming to raise as much money as possible, no matter how big or small, you will help ease the financial burden on the family so that they can just focus on being present with Edie and face this challenge head on.
