    Story

From Monday 23rd July to Sunday 2nd September, I am going to swim 1,400 lengths (35,000 metres or 21.7 miles). The number of lengths was picked by Luke himself. I have set up this page to help raise money for him. The money raised goes towards things such as the expenses for the regular travel to and from RVI, fun trips and activities for Luke.

Luke Bell is a young boy, only aged 8, from Darlington. He has an interest in anything Mario, a passion for rugby and a love for his dog Stampy. In April 2017 he was diagnosed with High Risk Neuroblastoma. For the past year he has went through several different treatments and surgerys to remove and prevent the cancer. Luke went through chemotherapy and radiotherapy. We were told after this that Luke appeared to be cancer free and was to start his last treatment which was immunotherapy. He started this treatment in January and we were all feeling positive. However in April a MIBG scan showed that the cancer had come back... This news was devasting and a total shock to us all. The immunotherapy came to a hault and chemotherapy started straight away. But Luke continues to fight everyday.
