A team of volunteers is raising money to take Takashi, who has a progressive neuron illness, to Iceland to see the aurora. He's been wanting to see them for years. Due to the progress of his illness, we can no longer delay the plan. A doctor is needed to accompany Takashi, plus a special wheelchair that can operate on snow and ice, and a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Who is Takashi?

Takashi is a 42 year old Japanese man who has progressive neuron disease, spinocerebellar degeneration (SCD). Over the years, his condition has deteriorated and now he is 100% dependent for his daily needs, including rolling-over in bed and toileting. Unfortunately, there is no cure to stop this illness with current medicine.
