Tayside Mountain Rescue Team provides a 24 hour, 365 days per year service, covering 3000sq miles which includes 50 Munro’s of 282 in Scotland. Our rescue team members are entirely dedicated volunteers who sacrifice precious family and work time to place themselves without hesitation in hostile environments to care, support and evacuate injured hill walkers and climbers to definitive hospital care.
Currently, Tayside Mountain Rescue Team do not own a mobile command vehicle, which is considered a vital piece of life saving equipment. A mobile communications command vehicle will not only keep mountain rescue personnel safe, but those we seek to assist.
The problem we have - it isn't cheap! Far from it, in fact it's very expensive.
