As most of you know, our good friend Mikey Farmer suffered a stroke last year. He had some amazing treatment from the Stroke Unit at Good Hope Hospital. They helped him pull through a terrible and devastating illness and thanks to them, he is now on the road to recovery, improving his quality of life and regaining his independence.

Mike has had an incredible impact on girls and womens cricket, especially at Four Oaks Saints CC where he and Jill ran the junior section for many years before Mike moved on to coach our Ladies team. Their daughter Emily has also been extremely helpful, coaching our Juniors on a Friday night.

As an appreciation of everything he has done for us, the Ladies team have decided to complete the Great Midlands Run (Sutton Fun Run) this year in June. We are panicking just a teeny bit as we are not all as fit as we would like to be, eeek!! It would really spur us on if we know you are behind us, supporting this extremely worthy cause. Mike and his family would like to thank Ward 24 by raising money for essential equipment to help others affected by strokes. Let's all join together and do what we can for helping them get Mike back on track. Whether it be £1, £10 or £100 we would really appreciate your support.
