    Story

Almost 2 years ago our son, Hugh's journey began...

In 2016 age two our beautiful boy was diagnosed with a bilateral sensorineural hearing loss.

It is thought that Hugh was born with the condition but unfortunately it went undetected for two years.

Because Hugh was unable to access sound it left him severely behind in key development areas including social and emotional skills and also speech and language.

Thanks to the massive support from key professionals involved in Hughs care he has made huge progress and we are so proud of what he has achieved.

A big part of the initial diagnosis was brought about by the fantastic obsevation skills of the staff at his nursery.

Since Hughs diagnosis the staff at the nursery have not only supported Hugh but supported us as a family and for that we are truly grateful.

    Our story doesn't end there....

Early this year Hugh was diagnosed with a learning disability.

This effects the way Hugh behaves in social situations including interacting with other children.

Thanks to the dedication from the staff at Hugh's nursery we have watched Hughs confidence grow in a way we never thought possible.

They have helped him in all areas of his development but most importantly they have encouraged him too interact with other children.

To see Hugh play with other children and even talk about his friends melts our hearts in every way possible.

As a thank you to the Nursery, Hughs dad, Darren, has decided to climb the highest mountain in England; Ben Nevis. He is hoping to raise funds to purchase a piece of equipment for all of the children in the nursery too enjoy.

Please donate anything you can and let's help to create deaf awareness in our local community.

    Many Thanks,
    Team Boyle xxx
