Our amazing friend and loved colleague Sammy has worked on the Children’s wards for 6 years. She has supported so many families over the years, we now feel it’s time to support her and her husband Mark during the difficult time.

Sammy who is 8 months pregnant and Mark have just found out that their beautiful baby has been diagnosed with a Vein of Galen Malformation. This is an extremely rare condition meaning their bundle of joy will need to be born in London, and then transferred for emergency treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This was a complete shock and they are dealing with this news like the wonderful couple they are.

Although we have great faith that they will be cared for by the teams in London, we know it will be a great expense to stay away from home. Sammy and Mark will also be required to travel up to London for future appointments with their baby as the condition is so rare they will need to see a specialist surgeon who is only based at GOSH.

If you could donate anything this would be able to support them to be there for their little one without the stress of the financial pressure that come with this process! If there is any surplus or they don’t spend as much as expected, the money will be donated to GOSH.

We know Sammy and Mark will be very overwhelmed with the support they have received and know that this will go a long way to help keep their incredible family supported.
