We are seeking funds for a youth project in North Edinburgh. We are a small charity (Theatre Workshop Scotland) that works with others to bring drama to young people. Drama is good for the young. It increases their self esteem, wellbeing and is confidence building. This has been proved time and time again. TWS has been involved in helping and working with the young for over thirty years. In the past we were mainly funded by the local authority or arts organisations.

As you know many of these sources have dried up and we have imaginatively looked at other ways of funding. This is the first time we have tried the crowdfunding method.

We have raised most of the money for our current project but have a shortfall. The project is a drama collaboration with a very long established youth club in North Edinburgh which has been going for nearly a hundred years. Some record! The young people come from a deprived area of our city. It has been a joy to see them involved in our drama projects and observe how they develop and grow in confidence. You can help in that process
