Story
Crisis at Christmas sets up shelters for homeless people for a week every Christmas. They give food, comfort and care to single homeless people at this emotionally difficult and bitterly cold time.
Every year London premiership football clubs donate their people, their time and football grounds to organise a 5-a-side football match for the guests of Crisis at Christmas shelters to give them a chance to have a sense of self-worth and achievement that is hard to come by at other times.
Volunteers at The Gate residential centre that cares for people with dependency issues want to give something special to their football team this year - their own team stripe. Based on a design created by volunteers last year and a lot of enthusiasm, we are getting shiny bright kit for our 5-a-side team. There shirts will be given to the guests to keep at the end of the day as a lasting reminder that there are people who care about them and want to help.
Anything raised above the cost of the kit will be donated directly to Crisis.
