"Help us Fight Hypertension and Diabetes"

The importance of creating awareness in rural communities regarding the impact of the co-morbidities associated with the non- communicable deceases can not be over emphasised.

We want to help in raising this awareness in our local community, Uzuakoli, in Abia State, Nigeria. This is community predominantly of the Igbo ethnic group. This initiative will specifically target awareness about Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus, and mainly involve providing the local people with information on the importance of regularly checking and monitoring their blood pressure, and sugar, supported with provision of portable equipment for measuring blood pressure and blood sugar.
