We are trying to raise funds to train and develop this cocker spaniel puppy into a registered therapy dog AND a Search and Rescue (SAR) dog

The plan is to cover the costs involved to train her as a Search and Rescue dog and a PAT dog which will take upto 2 years

In the South West Area there are numerous spots that people go missing. Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Exmoor, The Mendip Hills and miles of woodland and farmland. Having a trained SAR dog will be another nose on the team to help find missing people and reunited them with families and as she is so young she will have a long career ahead of her.

In addition we plan to train her to become a registered therapy dog with Pets as Therapy. She will be able to visit schools, hospitals, care homes and more to help with the recovery and development of people of all ages.

It's been proven animals help people with anxiety, depression, inability to cope in social environments so our new therapy puppy will hopefully be able to help these people.

From children with anxiety when reading aloud (they can read to the puppy/dog as it won't judge or laugh) to elderly people in care establishments who are not in a position to own and cuddle their own pets. Cancer patients, children with long term illnesses will all benefit from therapy visits

Therapy visits are invaluable but it takes a very special dog to have the manners, behaviour and temperament to become one.
