Story
Assalamualaikum
Many years ago, our dad chose to leave his village in search for a better life elsewhere. Leaving behind his family, his loved ones, his heritage and ultimately, a part of his identity; his search for his rizq bought him to the UK. He looked back and continues to look back to help those that are in need and those that formed a part of who he is today. They may be at a distance but none the less they are very close to his heart and his yearning to want to do more for them never goes away.
An entire community with a huge divide between the poor and the rich and a village which houses families that are truly needy is where our roots lie. We want to nurture them and help give something back to those who's prayers and sacrifices have helped give us the sustenance we have today.
The beautiful Village of Akhanida lies in the district of Sylhet, PS Osmani Nogor. It is small but infinite.
The Village Project aims to provide food packs at regular intervals to those that are in desperate need. We have individuals within the village who will do all the ground work to ensure the food packs are delivered to the right people. The prices of the food packs vary but will cost an average of £40. One pack is sufficient to last a family of 5 for over a month. With your help and the grace of Allah swt, we aim to start small by providing 25 houses with food packs over a 6 month period. We will certainly do everything within our means to extend this project beyond 6 months.
We kindly ask you to donate what you can to help us fulfil our dream.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity."
We are all in search of this shade and we are all in need of virtues that will account for us on the Day of Judgment. Please use this cause as your opportunity to obtain your shade.
