The Walker Ground is a multi-sports ground and registered charity whose purpose is to provide sporting facilities to the people of North London. It has been a thriving community hub for many generations and to the best of our knowledge, it was for the first time in our 160 year history, that we sadly had to close the doors on Friday 20th March 2020 in response to the current Coronavirus pandemic and to protect the health and wellbeing of our members and customers.

Due to this we have suffered a great loss in sports related income, as well as from bar and social events income, and many other rentals and bookings which help to keep our charity functioning and able to provide the beautiful grounds open and accessible to the people of North London.

Some staff have been furloughed and the remaining are still working hard to explore funding options and make cutbacks where possible, to help continue to maintain the facilities and ground so they remain in the great condition, ready to open and resume activities when the time is right. The financial situation of the Trust has always been difficult and as you can imagine the cost impact of closure during the summer months and not being able to make the usual income, is going to have a substantial financial impact on the trust.

With this is mind, we would be extremely grateful if you would consider making a donation towards The Walker Ground to help us during this difficult time. Any donation, however big or small would all be hugely appreciated. We fully appreciate that a lot of people are going through financial difficulty at this time, so please don’t feel obliged if it doesn’t suit your circumstances.
