What do we do?

Warwick in Africa believes that enhancing education in Africa is a direct route to liberation from poverty, and we have now reached over 280,000 learners in 10 years. Donating is an opportunity for you to make a difference too. By giving £10 a child will be able to attend school for a whole month. This time in school will give them the necessary Maths and English skills needed to succeed later in life. By giving £150 it will pay for resources for an entire school!

Helping learners to achieve more:

Volunteer teachers are selected from our best students, alumni and corporate partners to undertake a 4-6 week placement in Africa. They deliver energetic, inspirational maths and English lessons to some of the poorest schools in Africa, and introduce new teaching methods to inspire lasting change in the classroom.

We also run Teacher Master Classes, helping teachers with new techniques and pedagogy, transforming the way they teach locally. A small number of outstanding teachers take part in the Warwick Study Programme. This two-week intensive training course at Warwick enhances their leadership and teaching skills, and they use these skills to inspire more teachers and education professionals when they return.

ALL the money raised here will go towards Warwick in Africa, paying for resources, teaching and the continuation of this humbling charity.
