This is Toby, he is a 13 year old border collie. His mum, Catherine, took him to the vets for a check up as she thought he was unwell. After a few checks it turned out that Toby had 2 large tumours. One, which was floating, was the size of a tennis ball and the other, which was attached to his spleen, was the size of a grapefruit. Sadly he had to undergo a gruelling operation to remove both of these tumours. As we all know unexpected vet bills can be rather expensive. Unfortunately, this operation has cost Catherine around £1000. She will have to pay more than this due to Toby needing blood transfusions as he also had internal bleeding.

It is heart-breaking to see such a lovely family go through this. They recently lost their other border collie, Lindsay, due to old age. Toby is all they have left and they have put everything into making sure he is around for longer and lives the rest of his life happy & healthy.

This I why I have set up this JustGiving page to try and help Catherine and her family through this tough time. When you get a dog you know that something like this could happen, but it is still a shock when it does. I am a huge animal lover and would hate to see anything happen to him simply because of how expensive treatment can be. You also don't know when you might need help in return.
