Guy Evans and Gareth Chinery are racing in the 24 hour 'Dawn to Dusk' motorcycle Enduro race on the 26th / 27th August in Wales. As the name suggests we will be completing as many laps of the event as we can over a 24 hour period, rest and sleep are permitted but the idea is to keep going for as long as possible to build up laps. This is not a team event, we are both entered as 'solo' riders (just under the team name of Nitron).

FREE SHOCK COMPETITION - as part of our fundraising we are giving away a single free brand new motorcycle rear shock (any choice from the Nitron online store) for the person supporting us that guesses the correct total number of laps completed for Gareth and Guy combined. Just place your name and your guess in the comments section below and you will automatically be entered (in the event of a multiple number of correct entries the winning name will be pulled from a hat). The shock will be built to order after the event has finished and a winner has been chosen.

Rural communities in South Africa suffer from poor infrastructure, difficult access to and from the main areas of work and trade, little in the way of formal education even down to reading materials for young children.

Touch Africa is a charity that helps directly on the ground through creches for young children, mobile libraries made from shipping containers and film shows on Friday nights to provide a focal point for communities.

Riding in this year's 6-day 'Ride4Change' Enduro event in the Transkei region of the Wild Coast in South Africa and having seen this work first hand and the positive (and sustainable) impact it has, we have decided to help by raising funds and sending them directly to the charity on the ground out there - Touch Africa. All the funds we receive will be donated directly by us to them. No middle men!
