Story
Hi!
My name is Helen and I’m a 54 year old single mum of two lovely boys. I’m running the 2018 Brighton Marathon on 15th April and the London Marathon a week later on 22nd April. It will be my 4th London and 9th time at Brighton. I’m very proud to be a Good For Age marathon runner so, as I have my own place for both, I have decided to run to raise funds for the 2018 Petersfield School Borneo Expedition. The students have funded the trip themselves but any extra money will help to enhance the experience for them. I will also be running in memory of my dad who served in Borneo with the Royal Marines and loved the country.
I’m hoping to run both in under 4 hours to qualify for another Good For Age place next year so please sponsor me if you can.

6 years agoJust finished the London Marathon in 3 hours and 55 minutes and 34 seconds. It was incredibly hot so I'm quite chuffed with time. Thanks to everyone for their support!

6 years agoApril 15th just done the Brighton Marathon in 3 hours and 52 minutes. Really pleased as that is a GFA time so the pressure is off next weekend in London. AND we were given a pint of beer as we crossed the finishing line. That's my kind of race!
