In South Africa the Vervet Monkey Foundation is a sanctuary for orphaned, abandoned and injured Vervet monkeys. Their aim is to buy a piece of forest where they can release rehabilitated Vervet monkeys and protect them. It will also protect other local wildlife. To achieve this they need to raise 300,000 hectares. Each hectare costs £1000 and I want to try and raise monkey for a couple of hectares.
I believe we all need to do more to save the planet and the wildlife on it and this is a great way to help. More projects like this will help to give wildlife a permanent and secure home to flourish without our interference.

Vera is one such monkey this forest will benefit. She arrived 11th December 2018 at 3 days old after being hit by a car. She had stitches down her side and back from the injuries she sustained. After recovering for a while we attempted to introduce her to some foster mums. After a few troops she finally settled with another orphan in Skrow troop and is now living as close to natural as we can manage for now. It would be amazing to see her out in the Vervet Forest living wild again.

I believe this is an excellent cause to donate time and/or money to but as an extra incentive I will be volunteering my hair as trade for your donation. If I reach the target of £1000 I will dye my hair the colour with the highest value of donations (make sure you add the colour you want to your comment).
