My little girl Grace has been suffering with separation anxiety for a number of years. However, the last year it has got more severe. Sometimes, she won't leave the house, she self harms, scared to attend school and will hardly leave my side. I have begged for help and support, but the lack of funding for childrens mental health is appalling. I am currently trying to get CAMHS to support my little girl more but I am just being told to be firm and kind. This has taken over our lives and I am not fulfilling my role at work. I may have to take unpaid parental leave next month if her mental health has not improved enough for me to leave her when i am due to return to work in 2 weeks. So, that is why I am embarrassingly trying to raise living costs/private counselling costs to cover that month if this happens.
