We are looking to raise money for a lovely family who have saved money over the past year to purchase a bigger family car so the family could go out together. This meant they had to go with out and put every last penny towards their saving to be able to buy this car. The family finally had enough money to purchase this car and did so. Within 2 hours of purchasing the car they found themselves making their first family journey all together only for this to take a devastating turn for the worst and the car catching fire meaning mum and dad were left to act quickly and get their 5 children out of the smoking vehicle. Within minutes of being out of the car it was engulfed in flames. Not only did this family have to watch their savings go up in flames but all the children's car seats and cases of clothing for five of the children. As you can imagine, the actual fire was devastating to them all, however, what followed is even more devastating.
A call was placed to the person who the car was purchased from, he refused point black to assist them or give them there money back. At first he said he knew people in the motor trade and he would ensure he got them a replacement car at no extra cost, however, he called back to say he had spoken with a solicitor and he was not in any legal position to do anything so he wont find them a car and he wont give them any money back. The insurance company have now said there is a high possibility that the claim will not be paid out as the car was only insured for 2 hours before the claim was made. The family have been left penniless and without the car that they had saved for, all through no fault of their own. I take my car for granted, I don't really need it but sadly its to small to let them use. The car is a must for them and with another baby due at the beginning of April it is somewhat of a necessity. Please help us to help them by trying to replace the belongings inside and hopefully replace the car that they desperately need!
