Three of our friends in Sierra Leone are studying at Foureh Bay College, which is part of the University of Freetown. As polio survivors, it is pretty hard to get a motorbike or tuk-tuk to stop and pick you up, so they spend a long time getting to college and back for their studies. As well as studying, they are running their own businesses, but it is really difficult to afford the cost of transport, so we thought that we would try to help. Each student needs £30 per month to pay for transport to and from the College. Generous donors have already given us more than £1500 offline - perhaps you can help us raise the rest.

Sometimes circumstances change a little, and we have learnt that we need some discretion to occasionally reallocate excess funds, such as if we end up with more money than we need for a particular project. When you give to this page, you are asking us to allocate your gift to this project, which we will do. By donating, you are also giving us discretion - if necessary - to reallocate your gift to another equally worthwhile project carried out in partnership with Ian and Heather and taking place in Sierra Leone. We work hard to keep donors informed and in control and are happy to answer questions. The only administration charge that is made is that charged by Justgiving - we do not take any money ourselves.
