Prostitution and the selling of girls is a massive problem in India due to poverty. Often these girls are sold into slavery by their own families as they are seen as an expense as they will require payment of a dowry when they are to marry. They are often murdered as young babies or can be sold into prostitution as young children.

I am going to India on January 9th and have the opportunity to work with a ministry who are experienced at reaching out to and supporting street workers. Many give their lives to Jesus as they are reached out to with His sincere love. The ministry does all it can to 'buy' these girls from their pimps and houses them on release and supports them to learn a trade and they are often moved to a new area so they can live in full freedom.

The ministry has made me aware of two women who have recently become Christians and their pimps have offered to release them for £700 per woman and they really want to take this opportunity but have no means to raise such a large amount of money .This cause is so close to my heart and I would love to see these women set free during my trip and attend their 'freedom' ceremony where a white dove is released. Please, please, please can you help to raise the finance and see these women set free and the course of their lives changed forever. I know money is tight after Christmas but if you can give what little you can it will all add up and hopefully we will meet our £1400 target and give these women the best Christmas present ever.
