As you will be aware, it is increasingly important for students to be able to access high quality computing facilities to support them with their studies. One of the areas of feedback from parents, students and teachers is the need to update a significant proportion of our IT facilities e.g. PC, laptops, software, etc. My assessment is that there has been historic underinvestment in our IT facilities and I would like to significantly increase our spending in this area to ensure that our young people have access to the very best facilities.

Despite our very stringent budget management, we are unable to prioritise the additional estimated £20,000 to purchase and install the new ICT and computing suite. Should you feel able to make a donation to contribute towards the purchase of the new IT suite, I would be extremely grateful. You would be making a contribution to the school’s future as well as enriching the experience of students at the school.

All donations, however small, are welcomed and appreciated; as an example, if every Tytherington family contributed £20 then this would cover the estimated cost of the equipment. If families contributed by a regular standing order that would be ideal as it would give us a regular source of income to replenish our IT equipment. If £20 is too much, then please consider whether you could donate £10 or £5.
