We went out last year to work with teachers in Tacloban, an area of the Philippines which was devastated 3 years ago by Typhoon Yolanda. One of our trainees was Angelo.

Not only is Angelo a lovely guy, he is also a dedicated teacher, passionate about the task of improving the lot of the children he works with in Tacloban, who have very little.

We went out again this year, to work with the same group of teachers. Tragically, Angelo was unable to attend this year's training, because he is undergoing haemodialysis, as both his kidneys have failed. He is hoping to receive a kidney from his brother at Christmas time, but this hinges on his ability to raise £7000 over the next few weeks.
