Regenerate the Garden City-Hardwick Playing Field and its facilities. The community needs better facilities and wide-ranging play provision. The existing provision of recreational facilities within the Garden City playing field is very limited and run down. Current play equipment in situ for over 30 years and is not suitable for toddlers, disabled children and offers very little stimulation to children over the age of twelve years. Elderly and residents with mobility issues are further discouraged by the lack of safe path, making the outdoor space unusable to them.

We have actively engaged with the local residents and wider users and have formulated a rejuvenation project. The project consists of creating sensory garden, well-being track, updating play area for young children, creating toddler play area, teenagers and young adults play area, outdoor gym and community hub. The entire project is well in excess of £180,000 and to appeal to larger funders we must acquire a charitable status. In order to do so the group must meet the minimum income of £5,000. With the support of local council and through our fundraising activities we are nearing £3,000 and are therefore turning to our wider community for help to reach us this target.
