On September 10th I will be taking part in a Full Tough Mudder 10-12 miles and 20+ obstacles to help raise money and awareness for True Colours CIC. True colours specialise in providing alternative community support for adults 18+ with autism, learning disabilities & autistic trates, enabling people to strengthen & gain new skills to enable them to be as independent as possible and lead fulfilling lives within their communities. As one of many Schemes True colours run they provide a programme called Feebie Therapy. Feebie equine therapy is an opportunity for people with a diverse range of disabilities to spend time with a horse, learn about behaviour, welfare, building trust, relations and resilience. Sessions can provide stable management, general horse care as well as sensory element for those who communicate through touch, smell, visual and sound stimulation. True Colours provide lots of different services including respite breaks, weekend and personal assistant support, varied activities including poetry, storey writing, arts & crafts, come dine with us &I even have their own sensory room with themed sessions, aromas and lighting to help calmness and relaxation.
