    Story

This June I am going with a group of students and staff to Thailand on a Service Project. To be more specific it will take place in Northern Thailand in the Inthanon Mountains in a village called Ban Mae Ya Noi. The aim of this Service Project is to provide clean drinking water to a group of remote villagers living in this area, they call themselves the Karen villagers.

Consequently we will have to find a clean water source in the mountains and then construct a dam and connect pipes from our dam and digging a trail in which we can connect these pipes from the dam to the village. Then we will build two large water tanks’ which would store the water for the villagers. We will be living with the villagers during the 3 week project, when we are not building the water tanks we will be playing with the local children and teaching them English.

My aim is to raise a total of £2000 this money will go towards building materials, flights and all other costs. Even the smallest of donations will be greatly appreciated as it is going to a really great cause.

    Thank you.
