Many of you will already know and love my best friend Victoria. Around 8 weeks ago Vic started on her journey with a rare and not very well known cancer in her Adrenal Gland(s).

She has spent the last 8 weeks back and forward between hospitals having blood infusions of Potassium and Sodium, scans, tests and has to have weekly bloods taken to keep a close eye on her potassium levels - because if they drop it is extremely dangerous! She was diagnosed with her cancer that was found due to her high blood pressure that couldn’t be medicated and her extremely low potassium levels amongst other symptoms. They have also found a large Kidney Stone which is adding to the amount of pain she is in. This affects her daily life with how tired she feels from lack of potassium and the pain that is coming from her kidney from both the cancer and the stone.

Vic has a higher risk of secondary cancers due to the aggressive nature of her tumour; but has been really lucky that they have found it so early. They will be continuing to carry out regular screenings on her to make sure it doesn’t/hasn’t spread.

The next step of Vic’s journey is to have surgery to remove her complete adrenal gland! This will hopefully remove the whole cancer with just medication afterwards (don’t mention Moon Face to her because it’s a touchy subject) 😂

This surgery can be done now that her potassium and blood pressure are stable. The problem is the NHS only have one specialist surgeon locally so she now has a wait of potentially months; to us she is number one, but to them she is one of many who have cancer and are waiting…. unless she can have it privately which would only take around two weeks! The operation will cost roughly £15,000 plus accommodation cost for the time in London or Cheshire… travel and food; plus any loss of earnings for Phil to be with her. Not to mention the costs she’s already paid already on all the parking and travelling to hospital appointments.(Let’s not mention her wedding because she’ll probably have a breakdown).

So I am opening this Just Giving page to try and help raise as much funds as we can to help Vic and her family with this life changing battle they are facing!

If the NHS give her a surgery date in the meantime then the money can be used for transport for her, Phil and the children and accommodation costs for them to stay close to her whilst she has the surgery and take away the stress of Phil being able to have time off with her. No one should be having to worry about finances when going through something like this!

We are also hoping to have a fundraiser or fundraising events which will help us raise awareness about adrenal cancer … so watch out if you’re friends of hers because you’ll be getting roped in to do some sponsored runs or walks or egg n spoon races or something 😂 and also going to be looking for some donations for raffle prizes so we can start doing some little raffles 🤍
