    Story

Our little congregation have recently purchased and renovated this small Chapel in the Village of Painters Forstal, Near Faversham, Kent. There are only 2 ”public” buildings in the Village - the local pub and the Chapel. The Chapel was closed 2 years ago and was going to be sold for redevelopment. We have bought the building and are reopening it as a Place of Worship and a community resource. This purchase was made possible by a generous legacy and the support of a Christian Bank named “Kingdom Bank”. However, after a great deal of work over the past few months, our refurbishment fund is “running on fumes” now. There are two projects outstanding: (a) The external Paintwork of the Chapel needs renewing (which we hope to start in the Summer) AND (b) the carpeting of the Chapel (The aim of this just-giving campaign). Every donation - whether small or large will be most welcome. (Of course being positive and optimistic - anything received over our target will go towards the secondary external paintwork project in due course.)

UPDATE: WE have now gone for a cheaper option to carpet the Chapel. We have lowered our target of £2000 to £1000 donations made so far have enabled us to get cracking with the carpet laying - we need just a little more to finish the job!
