    Story

    Who are we?:
Two students at Imperial College London, Paul-Ellie in Materials Science and Emma in Mechanical Engineering.

    About the association:
Global Brigades: (https://www.globalbrigades.org) . It is an international non-profit organization that empowers communities to meet their health and economic goals through university volunteers and local teams.

    Our project:
    Watch our video!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbEhdEpw098&feature=youtu.be

Honduras is the least developed and most unstable country in Central America and the population is victim of great violence of various degree.
Both engineering students, we want to bring our scientific skills to help building a water supply network for villages which don’t get direct access to drinkable water. We will be flying to Honduras from the 2nd to the 10th of September of 2017 for a volunteering trip.
Before going there, another Global Brigades team will have designed a water supply network. We will be in charge of the manual work: we will have to implement the pipes along the path network. Also, we will construct latrines and build floors for their houses.

    Why should you help us?:
As you must have already seen several times in adds, movies, or photos, everyday those people walk long distances to bring water home.
By fundraising us, you will help a Honduran community to empower, improve quality of their lives and decrease risks of diseases.

    Our budget (price for 2):
    Accommodation&food: 1500£
    Flight tickets: 1200£
    Total: 2700£
Throughout the year, we are working to earn money:
Average money earned by us: tutoring lessons (200£), summer job (1500£)
    What we still need: 1000£

We have been having some issues with our previous fundraising page which closed 2 weeks ago. To continue our fundraising campaign, we re-created the same page we had before and transferred all donations previously received onto this page. Thank you again for those donations! Paul-Elie & Emma
