In July 2017, Evan Hawksworth was playing rugby and sustained a head injury and sadly passed away 2 days later. Wakefield Hawks are rugby league’s newest club, formed in 2018 to honour the memory of Evan. We are based at Sandal Rugby Club in Wakefield and have an U15s team (for boys in year 10), but we're also looking for new junior teams of all ages to build the club and ensure there is a lasting legacy in Evan’s name. In order to do this we need to purchase further training equipment.

My friend Donna Hawley has kindly offered to do a bike ride to help us raise funds for our club. She is cycling from Liverpool to Leeds (approximately 140 miles!!) If you could spare a few pounds it would be very much appreciated! Good Luck Donna :)
