Story
So I've decided to run the Newport Marathon on 29th April 2018. This is my first Marathon so naturally I'm just hoping to visit. As this is my first marathon EVER I'm also going to be raising money for a local charity 'Head Above The Waves'.
HAWT does some fantastic work to help with Mental Health Awareness and runs great workshops with youngsters, is a great support systems for those who suffer and also raises awareness of depression and self-harm in young people.
As this is just a small charity, ever a small amount of money such as £200 would help a great deal!

7 years agoGreat to see we've had a donation all ready! It's early days so far, just building up my stamina ATM. Was able to do just over 3.5 miles in 45 minutes with stop/start running. Obviously I have a long way to go so I'll keep you updated as I go along. In Newport later today, maybe I'll be able to scout some of the route I'll be running. 🏃
