    Story

    Lakenheath Village Defibrillator.

As part of our Community Impact badge, Lakenheath Beavers have chosen to raise funds to install a Defibrillator in the village.

The following is a statement from St John Ambulance:-

An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a small, lightweight, and portable electronic device that delivers an electric shock through the chest wall of a person whose heart has stopped beating. It is proven to be one of the most important tools in saving the life of someone suffering sudden cardiac arrest, and it’s a piece of equipment that St. John Ambulance recommends for every home and workplace.

The first unit will be located at the village hall as they have cctv that will cover this unit. The unit will be in a locked box which is accessed via a code given when calling 999.

Our target is £1800 which will purchase the unit, external box and training for 20 people.

If you would like to donate please don't hesitate to message us as together we may save a life.

    Thank you 😀

You can't put a price on potentially saving a life, everywhere in the UK should have an AED, just in case. Thank you Wendy, Lucy, Michael and Mike for such a brilliant campaign =^) .
