Story
Lewis has a condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth ( CMT ) a rare progressive neuromuscular condition that affects the motor and sensory peripheral nerve. It affects the nerves controlling movement of his hands and lower legs as well as the muscles of his feet, hands and forearms. This results in the loss of sensation in his hands and feet, his balance is affected and he is prone to falling. All these affect his stamina. Every day chores are often difficult. The condition is incurable and this lightweight wheelchair along with the Alber power assist drive wheels will help him deal with the daily challenges of living with CMT.

6 years agoHere I go with the last of my fundraising 10k runs to help fund a lightweight wheelchair for Lewis. On Sunday I'm running in the York 10k. Many thanks for all those who have supported me along the way, your donations have reached 51% of the £1000 target I set to raise towards the total cost of £3200 needed for the wheelchair with additions based on his medical needs.
