As a proud member of the operational team for York Rescue Boat, I am wanting to help raise money to keep the Rescue Boat afloat and providing essential life saving training which provides us with the possibility of continuing our regular night shifts in the York city centre on Friday and Saturday nights. the money will also help us build a Soap Box Cart for the Autohorn Micklegate Soap Box Derby on Monday August 28th.

Raising this money will enable us to build a Cart and raise awareness to what we do as volunteers and hopefully help to bring in more volunteers to join our expanding team to help make a difference to York, and also nationwide with our dedicated and highly trained Flood Rescue technicians.

York Rescue Boat is a charity and organisation set up in York to provide a physical and proactive commitment to furthering the safety of the rivers in York.  We aim to achieve this by means of a patrol and rescue boat, education and awareness.  With future progression York Rescue Boat endeavours to provide a stand-by team that will respond as an auxiliary service to the 999 services in area’s of Search & Rescue and  community flood assistance.
